A few months ago I published one of our concepts é-stylo. We appreciate all the views and comments. We're hard at work on version 1.0 and it's gonna kick ass, I really can't wait to show it to you. Meanwhile, buzz is going around that Apple is going to release a small nano or shuffle iPod that's just a small screen. Very similar to a watch but without the wristband.

I've been throwing ideas around in my head for a futuristic watch for some time now. Like for example how would you navigate such device so that it's simple and fast? Here's an accessory that integrates what we have in mind into the (perhaps) new iPod shuffle:

So pretty much the wristband would have sensors. So that when ...   Read more...

With this weeks free pngs, this is what your storyboards could look like:

In cinema, I always loved anything that was out of focus. Either in the foreground or background it always gave a composition more texture and it's a fun way to direct the viewers attention to where you want but without being too obvious.

I’d like to share some of the tech concepts that we at Plai can hopefully make one day. Why am I doing this?

I don’t know about you, but I want a, SIMPLE, futuristic, electronic stylus for my touch screen computing needs. When you hold a pencil or a brush with your hand, you use different muscles and joint articulations compared to when you finger paint. Cavemen finger-painted and, as a kid, I used to finger paint. We’re no longer cavemen and I don’t want to finger paint but, rather, I want to ...   Read more...

To keep this a little more active i’d like to share some of my art with you. This is just some stuff i did on my iPod using an app called colors! . It’s called colors! and no i didn’t add the exclamation point to emphasis how cool it is, but it’s actually cool though. I haven't had much time to draw recently but heres some old stuff i did on that app:

We’re working on an awesome free update that’ll bring a much better user experience. Some of the stuff we’re working on are:

1. Image optimization, so now you can bring any kind of photo into Dream without the need of a screen capture.

2. Actor progress save.

3. Create scenes inside of multicam bypassing the need to do it in outline view.

Hey peeps! We're looking at our analytics and a handful are probably experiencing a minor flaw in the app. Very heavy photos, such as the ones taken from an iPhone may cause a slowness when uploading and deleting the actor background. If you want to make it run faster, it’s best if you take a snap shot of the image in your photo library using the home and sleep button. Add that image into the actor library and it’ll be much quicker for it to load and erase the background.

We're currently working on a component that will optimize all the images entering Dream so you can use photos taken with your iPhone without having to do a screen capture. Either way if you find anything else, let us know. It doesn't matter if you don't know english, we'll figure it out some how. Our goal is to make an awesome creative tool for everyone.

Last week we were fortunate enough to get invited to the inauguration of a newly formed animation studio in Chapala Mexico.

It was a fancy event with the state governor flying in a helicopter, lots of suits and of course we didn't fit in. Accidently (luckily) Dboo and me were mistaken as press so we took these pics while the politicians were given a private tour.

Here we have the governor of Jalisco chat up the ...   Read more...
